The long awaited anticipation of Otisis the EP “A-Side” is over. It’s here finally! Usually the A-Side of vinyl and cassette tapes contained all the songs of the EP or Maxi Single and the B-Side would contain the instrumentals. Well, Jinesis & TMB brought you The Otisis Instrumental project last year. Presupposing that project was the “B-Side”, this time they bring you 8 tracks of Otis Redding Sampled beats by Jinesis with some of hip-hops best indie emcees along for the ride as the “A-side”. No tape deck needed, just download, press play and nod ya head.

This is the follow up to the 1 & 2 volume of jams Jinesis inaccurately described as music to read and relax to. This is music to slay your lady to between the sheets if you have one. Mood music, if you will. Albeit you can sleep to this if you must, but ultimately this is a collection of songs to set an ambience whether alone of with someone special.

The Mad Bloggers & Jinesis team up again to bring you Otisis Ep REMIXED. It’s a re-release of last years “Otisis” project where the producer tried his chops on some classic Otis Redding samples and created a solid instrumental project. This go around, he’s enlisted a few up & comers from local to international to add their lyricism to the beats. The second release is “I’m On It” from NYC based emcee Dremur. Dremur has been on a musical hiatus for the last two years, and returns with this new cut produced by Jinesis.

After three singles, Top $ Raz delivers Reign on the Parade, his first full length offering since The New Flesh. Teaming up with KevinNottingham.com and indie-label start up Throat Chop Music, Reign on the Parade is Top $ Raz’s flag in the sand, marking his territory in this rap game. With feature collaborations from producers such as J57 and Audible Doctor of the Brown Bag AllStars, 6th Sense, Badd Lukk and others, Reign on the Parade serves as a true reflection of the Far Rock, Queens native’s life. With the passion and energy in his rhymes, coupled with hard hitting production, it’s safe to say, Reign On the Parade is truly the two headed dragon that will turn heads.

When it comes to beatmakers, we share a common chord and that’s digging. Nothing feels better than coming across a rare record that you heard flipped. There’s an unspoken challenge to flip it differently. Even the artwork speaks to you. So as I started chopping this Teddy Pendergrass (Easy, Easy, Got to Take It Easy) sample, I had that nagging suspicion that someone had flipped this sample already, but I couldn’t pinpoint who. So after I flip the sample I went on whosampled.com to find out who had used it and it turns out Little Brother used it for “Not Enough ft. Darien Brockington” and Cali Agents used for “Close to Cash”. I gave both records a listen, and they both did a great job but I feel I flip it better, as any beatmaker would say. Take a listen to my version, tell me what your thoughts are! Thank you, Enjoy - Jinesis
